The size recommendations are based on tensile strength tests conducted by an external laboratory.

A safety margin has been taken into account in the size recommendations.

A half-choke collar should be tight enough that the dog cannot pull its head through it. Measure your dog's neck circumference and choose a collar that is the same size or slightly larger. This way, the collar will not choke even at its tightest.
